The YouTube Project

"When are you going to post more videos on YouTube, Megan?"

Every so often I hear this from friends. Since I currently don't have regular access to a piano nor do I own a recording device other than my computer, I am at a disadvantage. However, in an effort to provide more videos I will make cheesy pictures-to-music videos until I can provide my adoring fans (aka supportive friends and family) with "real" videos. I have high hopes, but until my budget increases... this will have to do.

Yes. I am making you visit YouTube to view it. I gotta up my views, peeps!

Nothin' but love for ya,

Not of Earth-Shattering Importance, But Still Fun

Guten Tag, meine Leute!

It's been a while since I've played in front of people I don't know, so leave it to the South Seattle YSA to give me the opportunity. I am inviting you to the following event:

SSYSA Night of Talent
Renton Stake Center
19714 106th Ave SE
Renton, WA 98055
7pm - 9pm

I will not be the only one sharing, but I'd still love the support. If you've never heard me live, you now have an opportunity (I've heard it's better live). So come. It'll be fun! Hope to see you there.

PS Yes, I will have physical copies of my CD if you would like to purchase one for $10. Or you can just go to Amazon or iTunes to download.

So this is a bit overdue, but yup. I'm on iTunes, folks.

Due to somebody deleting the original art for the album cover, we decided to go a different route. Ah, the life of an amateur artist. So here we have my first released album: ALMOST.

I also have hard copies for sale. At some point I'd like to set it up on Amazon so anyone can buy it and then try to be on Pandora, but I haven't really taken the time to work out either of those. We'll get there eventually. So incase you are curious, here are the track listings for my album:

1. Easy
2. The Truth
3. If
4. Trap
5. Last
6. Tired
7. Seventh (The Rain Song)
8. Push
9. 4/24
10. Letting Go
11. Gone
12. Again (iTunes Bonus)
13. The Christmas One (iTunes Bonus)

So... Let me know what you think! And please feel free to spread the word. :)

To Be Recorded...

Hey folks. So yep. I'm going to record an album. After being spurred by several friends and actually winning a talent competition at the Puyallup Fair (I guess it's not all entirely in my head), I am putting aside my pride and fear and doing it. I also now have a page on Facebook and am encouraging everyone to visit and "Like" it. www.facebook.com/MeganWorthenMusic Now time for your feedback. First, I think I'll use the picture above for the album cover. Second, I have no idea what to call the album. Third, I'm going to put 8 songs on the CD (order to be determined): Easy, Letting Go, Tired, Last, Forever, Iris (cover), Seventh, The Truth. So people, what do you think? I am all ears.
Nothin' but love for ya!

If I Could Play the Guitar...

June 18, 2010 - The 94th Building

We tried to make it as close to a concert as possibly, so here's the opening act...

Danielle Coley: Drop Baby Drop

Danielle Coley: Bleeding Love

And then this lady got up...

1) Easy

2) Tired

3)The Truth

4) Just Like Nephi

5) Forever

6) 4/24 (More)

7) Letting Go

8) Last

9) 7th (the rain song)

Nobody went anywhere so they got some really new stuff...

10) Gone

11) Benton

12) Sight

And that's about it.
My first concert. (45+ counts as a concert, right?)
I might write more. Probably... Most likely...

Antique April

From the April 13th Open Mic Night at the Antique Sandwich Company in Tacoma/Ruston. The MC unfortunately had to cut everyone down to two songs due to time considerations.
